Hey all,
I would really like to cut my knitting teeth on a fisherman sweater (you know, the traditional Irish sweaters) but am rather scared. All the patterns on Ravelry look pretty intimidating! Any recommendations for an easier, less complicated sweater pattern?
In addition, I was halfway through knitting a beach/grocery tote for my good friend, L, who is getting married in October. I was also going to knit her and her sweetie an outside blanket as well, since they're both outdoorsy types who live in California, and it seemed like a good wedding present. However, her fiance recently threw a temper tantrum, and demanded that they change the wedding to include only thirty people--strictly immediate family. I'm pretty upset by this, as she is a close friend and I really wanted to be there for her. So, since I'm not invited, should I continue knitting this wedding present? Its very heartfelt (I even included an inside joke that they have on the decoration) and I don't think they would appreciate it as much as I thought they would.
