craftgrrl | A crocheted shawl (Reply)

A friend asked me if I could make a shawl for her friend for her wedding. (That was a complicated sentence. The shawl is for a friend of a friend who is getting married on the 20th.) She's wearing a bronze formal dress, and I think this is going to look great with it. This is pre-blocking - I just finished it and I am going to get it into the sink in a minute. Note the thread hanging off of the top right corner. That is how much was left. I used 10 rolls and I *almost* did not have enough. This is Aunt Lydias Fashion Crochet thread, 5 weight, on a B hook. It took for. ever. But I am really happy with the result.
