lots of pictures wood disk pendants
Apr. 21st, 2009 02:34 pmThese grew from the idea of the gear rings that I did earlier and I also wanted to make some pendants and I am really happy with how they turned out.
I found unpainted wood disks at the craft store then drilled a hole for hanging, then painted the pendants with a base color (with the glow in the dark paint I had to do about 6 coats. I then got out some rubber stamps that I had laying around and stamped them with black ink then colored and painted them to bring out the details, I then sealed them with several coats of glossy sealer (which makes them really sparkle and shine).
Pendants measure 1 1/4 inches across not including the bail for the chain.
This is the first pendant names "Time Flies" and I really love the way it turned out

------
This one is for Halloween and is done in glow in the dark paint with a interference green over that.

-----
This one is called blue stars and both sides are very similar in design

-----
This one is called silver nova

-----
This one is another of my favorites and is called blue bird
