So I've been on a jewelry-making kick lately. The nice weather has really made a difference! It seems like the long winter was just so uninspiring.

Anyway, here's a sneak peak:

More under the cut below (WARNING, though: it's a bit image-intensive!)

That first one is my baby. I call it the "Tradewinds". It's an antique scrimshawed ivory pendant of a ship over a jasper blank, with wood beads and wood and ceramic accents. I've had that ship pendant kicking around for years, and I finally figured out what it was for! I love it when that happens. :)

That one is called "Blue Moon". It's a wing pendant and a rondelle of black mother of pearl.
Here's another shot of it:

And this is a fun one. My sister and I found these dealies at Michael's, so I bought a pack and decided to make one for me. Here's mine:

I plan on doing some more different variations with the other silver dealies. (What are they called, anybody know? lol) I call this one "Dark Moon". You can see another one of the wing pendants on there. I might take it off, though; not sure how I like it on there yet. I know it's a busy thing, but that was intentional (I'm a busy sort of person; and I like to clink when I walk!) XD so I hope it's not too offensive on the eyes. The other ones probably won't be so busy. I can't help it when I get new jewelry materials, I always want to make one for myself too. XD Anybody else have this problem? Thus my jewelry always comes out looking like.... well, like definitely my style.

Now this piece, this piece is a couple of years old. I usually only wear it with my garb, but I realized that I never photographed it properly and never shared it, so here it is.

I bought the pendant in Canada with birthday money like... gosh... seven years ago? And it was kicking around forever. None of the chains I put it on really fit it properly. So, when I was in college and part of the Society for Creative Anachronisms (SCA), they taught me how to do chain mail, so I decided I would make a chain for it that would suit it. This is a twelfth-century style, if I remember correctly. The pendant is awesome; it is reversible, so here's a couple of close-ups of the pendant from both sides and the chain I made for it. (It took two weeks of intensive frustration and finger-callousing to make it, by the way. XD And totally worth it!)

And that's it. :) Sorry I babble so much....

Thanks for looking! <3 And happy crafting!
