I've been wanting to adventure into screen printing my designs onto apparel for a while now, and finally got around to it with the help of Provocraft's new Yudu machine. After a lot of experimenting (and messing up), I'm finally get a hang of the process! As a side note, I've opted out of using Yudu's ink and have switched over to Speedball's fabric ink, which is a lot smoother to work with!

And on to the photos... let me know what you think!

"Flying Panda" on a Light Blue Tee!

"Flying Panda" was originally a design sketched onto wood, and after scanning the image and digitally editting it on Photoshop, I was able to get it screen-print-ready! I realize the folds of the shirt from being hanged make it hard to see the image clearly... but it's a chubby panda being lifted into the air by a balloon... making him grow farther and farther away from his beloved bamboo!

"I Am A Ninja" on a white tee!

"I Am A Ninja" was also an original painting on canvas. I used the ninja from the painting, and with some typography made a new design for tshirts!

And the tank - this is the one I love the wear most often!

"Bowtie/Pocket" on ultraviolet tee!

The "Bowtie/Pocket" design is completely sketched by hand by me, and then digitally edited to be screen-print-ready! The idea behind this shirt is, I may not be the best at sewing clothes (aka sewing a pocket onto a tshirt), but I can draw one and print it onto a tee! The pocket is also adorned with a few buttons with my designs, and a side "clothing tab" with "Steppie" printed onto it... as if it was my clothing label! And the bowtie? Well, just 'cause it's cute!

Behind the scenes...

Ready to expose my screen!

Photo taken during the process... flooding the screen. :)

Screen printing, while a messy hobby, has opened new doors to my creative outlet... the options are endless! Do any of you screen print? Do you have any tips on your favorite screen printing ink, etc?

Cool - thanks for looking. :)

P.S. All of these designs are my originals. Posted for feedback and inspirational reasons, but please do not replicate my designs, por favor. :)
