... inspired patch ...
Apr. 28th, 2003 11:10 amIf you'll recall, the other day I posted a pic of a pink and black plaid backpack I made. I also mentioned in that post that said backpack reminded me of my best friend and inspired me to do something else. This is the something else:

This is Lenore, for those who don't know. She stars in her own comic adventure. I, personally, don't read this comic, but my best friend is obsessed.
So now I'll probably make her a little purse from the pink plaid fabric I have left and attach this patch. Heh.
Patch made on a canvas-like (might be a thin canvas for all I know) cream material with acrylic paints modified with fabric medium. I printed out 2 images - one all black and white, and one in color. Put the B&W one on top of some carbon paper and traced. It didn't work out very well so I still ended up doing most of it freehand. *sigh* Thought about leaving it just black and white, then decided to color it in. Which took hours because I'm a perfectionistic psycho (as mentioned before).
And there you go.
I should probably just learn to silkscreen. ;) I might save myself time. Ah, but I do like painting.
The pictures don't really do it justice - there's a gradiation of color in the background and such.
:)
