What can I do with these??

craftgrrlAlrighty, put on your thinking caps... this is an odd thing to ask about, I know. I use the elastic hair ties that dont have the metal piece, but my hair is so thick that I go through these hair ties pretty fast... the elastic breaks 
So the question is... what can I do with these? I hate to throw them away because I like to save everything (I know, I know). The elastic is to small to make bracelets, I think. Any ideas?
