I saw purses very similar to these at a mall booth for $50-$80 and thought hmmm... I bet I could make one of those. So I did!

This beast took me the better part of two days for a few reasons. (1) I'm returning to sewing after a 10 years (2) I've never sewn a zipper before (3) I've never sewed handles before (4) and I didn't use a pattern.

Here's a close up of the zipper.

I had a hard time with this because I attached it about halfway through the project instead of at the end BECAUSE I wanted the purse to have a nice professional look. I think it turned out great!

A close up of the lining. Not too shabby if I do say so myself.

And of course I much necessary action shot!

I do plan on writing a tutorial for this bad boy... someday.
