First time poster here so be gentle. I recently inherited my grandmother's trusty old Husqvarna 2000. It's at least fifty years old, but it works like a charm. Besides, I haven't sewn anything since high school so my needs are not exactly advanced. Under the cut you'll find four tote bags, three tiny pouches and a wee little bird.

First up my trusty sewing machine, because it's my new best friend. ;0)

Tote bags. :0) I bought a bag in Italy last summer that I loved a whole lot, but it had a little accident and will never again be its old glorious self again. I made my own pattern, but I used a tutorial from here for the actual sewing. I couldn't figure out how to do the lining on my own. The blue and black/yellow bags I'm giving away to friends. The pink flower one is mine and the beige one I hate.

Tiny pouches made with a tutorial from here. I bought a bunch of zippers in a sale and had no idea what to do with them, especially since my friend doesn't come with a zip foot. I think they turned out pretty okay. I'm sorry for the blurry pic, my cell phone camera doesn't deal well with lots of white in the background.

Wee little birdie to use for... something. Pattern and embroidery was freehanded. I made two more to go with the bags I gave away but I never snatched pics of them.

This is a brand new journal for my crafty needs only, but I would love to make some new friends. :0)
