a better jump ring?

I am trying to class-up my jewelry and was thinking of those fancy triangle-shaped clasps that go where a jump ring would (attaching necklace cord to pendant or charm). What are these called?

And any other suggestions for replacing jump rings with something fancier looking?

Then I can use the hoardes of jump rings I have to make some chainmaille, lol. No pics, I won't have any to share until October when I can relax. :)
