knitting

hi, i mostly lurk, i don't know if i have introduced myself before or not, anyhow i am bug, and i mostly lurk, currently the only crafty stuff i have been doing is knitting, it is perfect for me right now i can take it on the train when i go to work and work on it while i watch tv, and i end up with nice gifts for people, one of these days i might even finish something i am making for myself, i have a sewing machine and i want to use it but it isn't working right now, it seems fine it just moves to fast and the needle just makes holes in the fabric it doesn't sew it, the thread doesn't do what it is supposed to, anyhow i am rambling :) i was wondering if there are other knitters here and what peoples favorite web sites are for yarn, and other knitting stuff, so thats all, i will go back to this scarf i am making now
