Sock Snowman
Dec. 20th, 2009 09:54 pmMy son just showed me a snowman he made at his class Christmas party, and I thought I'd share in case some of you would be interested.
From what I can tell, you need one all white sock (this is a thin one), Christmas material, a thin marker or Sharpie, orange foam board, straight pin, polyfil, and rice.
The bottom of the snowman is filled with rice, then a 'scarf' was used to separate and make the body. My son used a Christmas red light fleece and cut the ends to look like fringe. The head was then stuffed with polyfil, and another ribbon was tied around the top to keep it in. The cuff was then arranged to look something like a hat. The face is just drawn on with Sharpie, and the carrot nose is the orange foam board put in with a straight pin.
Very easy craft and absolutely adorable!
