Shadow box
Jan. 24th, 2010 06:23 pmI do a lot of fan crafts and this is my latest attempt - Sherlock Holmes shadowbox.
I inked the unfinished wood with a mahogany then black. The background is a b&w photo that I sprayed with Glimmer Mist and glued down. The colored photos are mounted on foamcore and layed with Pop Dots. There's a black crow feather on the top that you can't see and a diamond near Watson for the engagement ring (I can't find a die I like but will add that later). The tag on the key reads 221B but I tore it because Watson is leaving. The top has a magnifying glass and the bottom is covered with shredded batting to make London fog!
Not as elegant as ldhenson's (she posted a stunning box several days ago) but funky and fun.
