craftfest 2003!
May. 9th, 2003 11:25 amSo in honor of the fact I am graduating college tomorrow and haven't had to go to school in a few days, I devoted my entire yesterday to crafts.
One thing I made I am so excited about, and I wanted to share. I went to a bbq the other day that I brought veggie kabobs to. Well, the skewers come in a bag of like 100 (for a dollar!), so I had about 90 of them left. So I grabbed some of my bigger wooden beads and the acrylic paints and got to work making those Asian inspired hair sticks. They are so cute and easy, so I made them as presents for a bunch of girls I know in their favorite colors. My webcam is busted, but I'm trying to get photos uploaded asap.
Basically, I just painted the sticks and superglued the beads at the top. It might be a good idea to put a glaze over the skewers after the paint has dried to avoid any splintering since they are so thin.
Hope you enjoy!
