Alternative to "Quilting"

I have been making a "quilt". It's just a queen sized blanket made out of squares. Nothing fancy.

I do not want to do traditional quilting on it - 1. because I don't know how, 2. because I'm lazy and I've been working on this for like 7 years already.

I know I could tie it, but am not sure I'd like the look of the ties (I'm thinking yarn - are there other ways?)



So - I'm wondering if anyone else has any ideas of ways I can "tie" the blanket without doing actual ties??
