[identity profile] cayora.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
I've mostly been posting to the We Love Amigurumi community lately, but I thought I'd post these couple of things here as well.  I'm rather proud of them.

Head cocked, it peered into the room where the candle burned. Even as moths fluttered to the flame, it was drawn. Candles meant meat. Soft hairless flesh, abandoned in sleep. Perhaps it did not look like much, with its soft body and curled ears, but it knew how to wait and wait and snatch a mouthful and run. Some nights, the meat did not rouse and chase it away. Some nights it only mewled in its bed. It liked those nights.

-----

A cruel little carnivore, measuring about ten inches in height. It is made of natural Malabrigo and Cascade yarns and has safety eyes, if you should want to trust it with your children.

And also this one.

The bridge was high, though no water flowed beneath. The railing would not stop her fall. Aurelia had a rope for that. One long drop and then it would begin. She would whisper her sorrow into the wind and perhaps her love would hear.

-------

Aurelia is eighteen inches tall, made of all natural yarn and stuffed with polyfiber fill. Like all my dolls, she is completely unique and made without a pattern. Her dress is removable. She will come with a card detailing her story.

Anyway, I hope you liked them both. I applied for a juried craft fair a little while ago and I'm supposed to be finding out if I got in soon. I'm rather nervous, but I really hope I do.
