DIY/craft help - necklace

hii i'm a first time poster here and i like getting crafty with small things and i figure i could get some help on this necklace. i got it at H&M and is has this  sticker on the pendant part that is starting to fall off. i was wondering if i should paint or draw something on it (after the i take off the sticker, not on top of it)?
 
 i am not sure about the material of the necklace but it feels heavy and like some sort of metal. TIA for your ideas :)
