crochet newb?

ladies,

i have been knitting for about 6 months now and i really love it (although i am still very much a novice). lately, i have been seeing lots of crochet creations and i am really curious and want to try my hand at crochet as well. unfortunately the wonderful lady who taught me how to knit is no longer my co-worker, so i am looking for good online or print resources for learning to crochet. there are obviously tons of sites and books and videos out there, but i was wondering if anyone had any specific recommendations?
