Owly plates and some jewelry :3
May. 8th, 2010 10:29 pmFor my birthday I wanted to go to one of those paint-your-own-pottery places. I went to one for my birthday last year and painted a plate, but over the summer it got broken. I wanted to make another, but totally different. Sadly, the only picture I have of the one that broke was taken before it was fired. I never shared that one before, so I'll put that in this post too, along with some jewelry I made recently. :3 Enjoy!
Here's this year's plate:

I came up with the design myself. :3 I am quite pleased with it. Here's hoping that this one doesn't get broken!
Warning: image heavy.
Here's the plate that broke; again, this was taken before it was fired.

And now, for the jewelry.
Here are two sets of earrings I custom made for some friends of mine who are getting married.
Silver filigree and natural freshwater pearls

These are actually flattened bead caps, the same bead caps I use on the vintage faux pearls below them. I thought they would look like flowers that way, since the bride's dress is very flowery.

This is a vintage-inspired pearl and filigree necklace complete with a fabric English rose.

I still have some issues to work out with the draping on this one, but it's just about done and I'm quite pleased with it. :)
Thanks for looking. :) Happy crafting!
