I loved the fabrics so much that I bought some more. They only came in 3/4 yard pieces in packs of 3. I bought what looked like enough to do the bottom quilt in lap size. Only now that I'm looking at the fabrics I have, there doesn't seem to be enough contrast. My greens are all mottled and my blues are too. I was planning on using blue instead of cream for background. Now I can't decide if I should continue on, or pick a different pattern. I recently did a subway tile patterned quilt for my daughter and I loved how modern it looked and how it showed off the fabrics. The fabrics are all Winter/Christmas themed, so I liked the idea of making a Christmas tree out of them. Obviously, I already made one Christmas tree, but I liked the log cabin pattern too. Maybe I should just shelf it for later.
