Improvised knitted gifts using intarsia/Fair Isle (?)

Hello! I'm a new poster to this community - I'm travelling the UK and limited to small projects, and I've recently figured out how to change colours in knitting... I've made a couple of little gifts
This will eventually be a little zipped case for... stuff...

I'm making the back as a blue and grey checked fabric so it'll work up faster.

Also, this was a goodbye/thankyou gift to my site supervisor Artemi. He does English Civil War reenactment with the Sealed Knot, hence the little figurine.

And I finished and sent an R2D2/Stormtrooper camera case for an archaeology friend but I forgot to take a photo first.... meh. But I was very happy to hear it arrived and seems to do the job OK :)
