Using all the film in a Polaroid camera
Oct. 25th, 2010 12:57 amHello ladies! Long-time lurker, first-time (I think?) poster. SO, I've been on a real Polaroid kick lately, and I'm really trying to make the most out of the film I have because they've stopped production of it (I have a 600 camera which uses the "classic" film). So here's my question. The camera I have counts the number of pictures in the cartridge and there are ten pictures, right? BUT, on top of the cartridge there's a piece of black cardboard that keeps it from getting exposed. Far as I can tell what you have to do is put the cartridge in the camera and hit the shutter to get the cardboard to come out, but it counts that as an exposure, so it thinks there are nine pictures left. That means you waste the 10th picture because it doesn't consider it to be there. I tried getting the black cardboard out before yesterday and blew the whole cartridge! Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the cardboard without the camera thinking it's a picture? Thanks for your help.
