Smartie-pants
May. 18th, 2003 06:00 pmGot a lot of graduating friends? Don't know what to make them?
Smartie-pants to the rescue!
Make a cardboard template of a pair of pants a bit bigger than you want them to be.
Trace the template onto fabric and cut out two pieces for each pair of pants. One one piece, draw a fly and belt loops with a fabric marker.
With good sides together, sew down the legs and across the bottom of the pant legs to make a pants-shaped bag. Make sure to leave the top open.
Turn the pants right-side out. Use a pen/knitting needle/skewer to push the corners out.
Fill the pants with smarties and tie closed with a ribbon.
Et voila, smartie-pants for your smartie-pants friends. :)
