Commissioned hat: but also, I finally have the perfect recipe for an earflap hat. This one fits great and is warm & soft. (knit out of "angel hair" yarn from Joann Fabrics, it has some wool content but it is mostly acrylic and so so soft.)

And a quick look at my typical swirl decreases and the crocheted ears.
