I don't live somewhere where it's easy to get any crafting done, but I visited my parents, and got three projects done at their house.

The prettiest of the three was my flower ball (or kusudama). It seems like a pretty common pattern, but I used this tutorial. It was pretty clear.

One flower
Step...I guess this is about step 3.

Flower ball
The finished product, full-sized picture. Obviously I used white printer paper, but now that I have the folding and the gluing down, I think I feel more comfortable with using recycled pieces of paper (out of magazines, etc). I was worried about the texture at first.

ipod cover
This is a cover for my ipod touch. It is also, coincidentally, a cover for my phone and my sister's completely different phone and almost for my camera as well. Conclusion: a case slightly smaller than an index card will fit a lot of things. This fabric is, of course, Alice in Wonderland. I must have bought it in the spring when the movie came out.

The only unpredictable thing (for me, not for a really experienced person) about this case was attaching the black piece on the front. I forgot to use fusible interfacing, and it got bunched up and uneven. I ended up redoing it.

The Moose
My parents have a giant, fat chocolate brown cat named Moose. Cat #1 (Simon) and Cat #2 (Taz) both have their own ornaments up on the Christmas tree, so I made this one for the Moose. Super easy, super fast, cotton print and brown felt with a blanket stitch.
