hello everybody! this is my first post (yes, i have been stalking and looking at all your amazing creations), just to show off a neat pattern i found and embellished. it looks really cute from the front, the pink part of the ears is a really big pink button, my sister made the brown bow and the cookie charm was made my me (out of sculpey and one one of my little sisters play-doh molds. :D)
i did have a little snafu with it and i though someone here may be able to help. the pattern is here: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/bear-headband. i made the band thinner, about half the width the pattern calls for, because i have really short hair and thick bands just look silly on me. i plan on making a few more of these in different colors to wear to gencon this summer, and what i want to do is make the band taper in the back. the band is still too thick at the bottom and it makes my hair stick up funny. does anybody know of a similar pattern or know how i can start to decrease the band in a way that is smooth and not super obvious?
ps: i apologize in advance if my lj-cut didn't work! i haven't posted to my own livejournal in a really long time!
