So I finally finished a couple of things
Feb. 23rd, 2011 02:05 amand I wanted to share. I've been lurking for awhile & have asked a couple of questions, but this is my first time sharing! I taught myself how to crochet via youtube tutes and your advice! Acutaly I think I may have shared an amigurumi Koala awhile back, but this stuff is much better. ;) lol
I made the following for a friend that sent me some things that she had purchased and no longer needed. Didn't even charge me for them. So, I decided to make her something in return because I wanted to do something for her! She just had a baby last October & I learned how to crochet shortly after, so I decided to make her these... I feel pretty safe sharing them here, she has an lj, but I don't think she's a watcher of this community.
A shoulder wrap for her, thinking it's still a little chilly out, even though she lives in Georgia, I thought it would be nice to have. A close up of the flowers on one of the corners.
A thick blanket for baby Oliver, what you see is doubled, minus the 'nametag'.
A light baby blanket.
And this hat I made for my hubby, although the red doesn't look so great on him, so as of now I'm working on a gray one for him and keeping this red one for myself, but now I'm thinking I might send it to my mom as a thank you for the Valentine's Day surprise she sent me. :)
That's it! But I'm really proud of the shoulder wrap and blankets, they took forever! Thank you to all the ladies who helped me learn how to crochet! :D

A hat for her or the baby if she so chooses, the flower would be easily removable, considering the baby is boy. ;)
