Diamond glaze alternative

I love working with diamond glaze but it seems to turn blue when I use it with metals. I presume it's the brass and/or copper it is reacting to.
Has anyone else had this problem? Can any of you recommend another glaze that wont turn blue?
I don't mind blue but sometimes I don't want it in my projects.
