barefoot sandals & bead suppliers
May. 24th, 2011 04:43 pmi am so excited!! but so i don't bore you, i'll give you guys the tl;dr version:
lost my favorite pair of barefoot sandals in our move. the woman i bought them from on ebay has an empty store. i spent days looking for something similar & came up with nothing. i finally resorted to looking for tutorials. found one that's pretty similar to the pair i had (yay!!) & as it turns out they weren't hard to make. (tutorial here if you're interested, tho i did change a few things)
i LOVE the way they turned out!! (modeled on my neighbor's feet because i have funky feets)

obviously i made a pair of them but didn't need pictures of both - they are identical :P i plan on making more of these (and maybe some bracelets, too) so i'm going to need a lot of beads. i bought my current supply at hobby lobby (4oz of seed beads for $1.75ish (they were 50% off)) but i don't know how that ranks in price. obviously they won't be that cheap there all the time & i get SO confused at the online stores because they're in grams (i found out 4oz is abt 113 g) but they seem really expensive. the beads i used were 6/0 seed beads & #5 bugles. any smaller & i can't pass the cording through it enough times. i was already pushing it with the bugles & had to do some creative rerouting.
any recommendations/suggestions for online bead suppliers? i'm in the US if that makes any difference.
TIA!!!
