I want to make a travel candle for my boyfriend, who will soon be going on a six month camping trip over the Appalacian Trail. Boo :-(. So I have my Altoid tins and I'm going to prime and paint them and stuff. I figured I would use tea lights.

However, those suckers will burn down quickly and I want to be able to replace them. But I also don't want the candles to be simply placed inside without any support. He will NOT be able to do anything crafty out there. So far I had thought of using epoxy, but obviously that won't do. I had also thought of gluing clothing snaps inside the tin and to the candle, but again, that won't be a good idea because he won't be able to affix a new snap to the underside of a tea light. The last thing I thought of was some kind of rubber gasket, so he could pop the candle in. Does anyone have any ideas?
