I've been working on a RAP (ridiculously ambitious project) and thought I'd share a picture of the latest progress.  The pattern is Winter Fairy by the incredibly talented Joan Elliott.  I started about a year ago with high hopes of having it done by Thanksgiving.  hahahaha  It's my first cross-stitch on 28 count fabric as well as being the largest and most detailed one I've ever done.  Being paranoid about not getting the fabric dirty, I only work on it at home, and with the fine fabric I really need good daylight to see where I'm stitching.  That cuts down a lot on stitching time - mostly I get in a few hours on weekends.  I've done a number of small, cross-stitches in the meantime - bookmarks, gift tags and such that are very portable.   I'm about halfway through the second page of a four page pattern.  With all the summer daylight hours and the fact that I'm done (at least for a while) stitching white, off white and pale blue on very pale lavender fabric, I'm making more progress these days.  Will she be done by this Thanksgiving?  Well, we'll see.
