Whoops... Happy Birthday, Mom!

Okay, so I'm a bad daughter and I forgot my mother's birthday :(

BUT! In my defensive, I *did* remember the day after and called her apologized and said "Happy Birthday" and all...

I've decided to make it up to her by making her a personalized pin cushion. I've got the top finished, now all I have to do is find a matching remnant out of my *vast* collection for the bottom and stuff it with some of the *tons* of left-over quilt batting that I have lying around.

The top is embroidery uses feather stitches and french knots. I learned to feather today and my french knots have come a long way in just one day let me tell you! Anyways here are a few pictures.

The "C" was supposed to be done in a stitch called "outline" but I literally have no idea what that is. The instructions I looked at for the stitch confused me, so I just kinda filled it in with random back-stitching. I'm not terribly pleased with how it came out, but it'll do.
