Hey guys,
My friend spilled coffee on her white Nook e-reader case, staining the zipper part and part of the neoprene itself. I offered to stain ALL of it with coffee and do a picture on the front of it. I was thinking I could do a little "Sailor Jerry Tattoo Flash"- style picture, maybe of some roses with a banner or a girl or a dagger. Something she'd like. So she gave it to me and right now it's sitting in a pyrex baking dish full of coffee. Hopefully that will do the trick!
My question is... what would be the best medium to use for the neoprene? I was thinking acrylic paint might crack and flake off, unless maybe I could put a clear coat over it, like that Krylon crystal clear stuff? I'm not sure how well that would work, so I was thinking instead to use alcohol-based markers - I have a few Copic markers, and I also have TONS of Sharpies in all different colors. Do you think they'd bleed too much?
If any of you guys have any experience with writing/drawing/painting on neoprene cases, please give me your ideas! I've already had her case in my possession for like 2 months and I feel bad, especially when she hinted at me the other day that her Nook already has a scratch on it. :(
Thanks!
