You know those epic friendships from when you're a teenager, that just mean the world? Then life happens and the friendship is no more, but you still wish your ex-friend the best so you add them on FB?

Anyway, my ex-BFF got married (didn't invite me) and had a baby boy 2 months ago. We agree to meet so I'll get to know the baby once they get back from their vacation and I figured I'd make something for him.

Why I decided to try a technique I never had tried before, it's beyond me. Hey, I've done arraiolos all my life, how different would it be, right? Save for the fact that it's done with thick wool on hard jute with a big tapestry needle and not delicate like cross-stitch.

So, yeah, the first little diaper I tried is currently being used as a bed for my pet rat. :-|

Onto my second try:

It has the baby's initials and his birthday. According to the pics she posted online, the nursery is very classical looking and in shades of off-white and grey-blue. So I got those vintage looking patterns from a mix of free-patterns found online and some free-styling by myself. Why the photos show this weird, electric, sparkly blue instead of the grey-blue it actually is, I have no idea.

I hope it's not too shabby. :P
