i have been busy crocheting.
Apr. 18th, 2012 11:57 amthere's a lot of stuff behind the cuts!
Zelda Zebra
when we were at my parents for the second night of passover, one of my acquaintances that was there (her name is Jenny) had mentioned she really liked my amis. i noticed attached to her handbag were three plushie keychains, one was a zebra, one was a giraffe, and i can't remember the third. i also remember seeing a zebra pattern in the book (Amigurumi, by Lan-Anh Bui and Josephine Wan) i recently bought.
so i made her one. i gave it to her when we met for lunch the saturday after we were at my mom's. she LOVED it.
this pattern comes from Amigurumi, by Lan-Anh Bui and Josephine Wan.

el Stinko the Skunk
J wanted a skunk. i looked at many many patterns, and we didn't like any of them. i was looking at other animals to see what parts i could put together to make one, and a fellow Raveler, LKK6144, had made "Fleur the Fragrant Skunk," which was just awesome! i asked LKK if she would mind sharing her personal pattern, and to my delight, she did!
i started making the skunk at night, so it would be a surprise. we'd decided on traditional skunk colors even though Fleur was pink. but then almost a week later, i had to say something - since she had at this time announced she wanted it pink like Fleur. so i showed her the head and body so far, and told her if she wanted a pink skunk, she was making it. heh.
so... el Stinko the Skunk:

Purple Dragon
the same lady who made the R2D2 pattern (Lucy Ravenscar) has a Fierce Little Dragon. i tried it out, and gave him some special wings.
