I made these quick and easy fabric flowers that can be used for many different things such as hair accessories, embellishments on t-shirts, scrapbooking pages, hang tags, and more.

Cut out five or six circles of fabric.

Fold in half, then fold in half again.

For the assembly of the flower, you will not cut your thread after each step. Rather, keep one thread going for the duration, and cut it at the very end when the flower is complete.

Starting at the edge of one quarter circle, bring your needle from the back side to front side, and baste three stitches along the outer edge. For each petal, you will always start your first stitch from the back side, pushing your needle to the front side.

Continue with the next petal and all subsequent petals using the same procedure as above. You will have a strand of continuous petals on your thread.

Pull your thread taut, and stitch a few times to keep your flower from unravelling.

On the wrong side, tack your first and last petals together, and don't cut your thread yet.

Sew a button in the center, and if you are going to use the flower as a broach or hair pin, sew or glue a felt circle to the back, and attach to hairpin or broach pin.
