Smelly Box
Sep. 3rd, 2012 02:54 pmI had been hunting for something to store my cone incense in. We were visiting a friend in Manchester VT when I happened upon this fun wood craft store. I bought a handcrafted box and went to town crafting it up to match everything in my front parlor. I’m happy with how it came out.

Here is the box. I drilled some holes in it to use some old wooden doll heads I had kicking around as feet and a handle.

Spray paint is my friend.

Here is the box with all the edges, interior, balls, and bottom painted gold.

I painted all the corners with a turquoise acrylic for where the paper wouldn’t completely cover.

Here it is drying with the cut out paper pieces drying. This is just fancy scrapbooking paper from the craft store.

Here’s the box in situ in my front parlor. Yay!
