soap making question for soapy peoples

Here's my question: Can you take little bars of melt-and-pour soap and re-melt them?
I have all these bitty bars that were given to me as gifts for Xmas and anniversary. But I prefer a big bar of soap. I want to take these little soaps and re-melt them into one large bar. Has anyone tried this? Will it work out Chemically?
