Ceramic Alter Plate
Jul. 1st, 2003 08:37 amI made myself an alter plate! I needed some sort of focal point for said alter, and so... presto.
Willow clay and underglaze, my first real experiment with colors. I should have kept my patience and finished all three layers, so I wouldn't have the streaks all over the place, but the detail was rather mind-numbing. I still like it, and because I put so much effort into it, it serves its intended purpose well.
And, to anyone who works with ceramics, I highly reccomend playing with underglaze. There are so many creative possibilities... but hey. Enough of that.
Take a look!

musejuice, which everyone should join because it requires more members to make it worthwhile, and because it's great for creative sorts like you. :D (End plug.)
