May. 30th, 2002 02:28 pmI make jewelry, and have been experimenting a with polymer clay lately. I used a rubber stamp to make an imprint of a sun image on the clay, then cut it out of the clay, painted it, then baked it in the oven. It was amazingly simple!
I blended some inexpensive acrylic paint on the clay, and am wondering what I might use as a sealant to cover the paint so it doesn't wash off in water? I'm trying to find something that won't irritate skin.
The top cracked when I put down the lid to my scanner- I'm so used to scanning pictures or solid stained glass necklace charms! Oops. Maybe it's a sign that I need to make the clay thicker next time. :P
