this is x-posted. because i'm a pain in the ass.

~~blablabla introductory bullshit~~ i had the idea to make a kitchen set for my stepmom for her b-day. i also realized that an oven mitt is the same as a giant cotton mitten.

but i don't know how to make the thumb gusset for a mitten.. and i haven't found any nice, understandable directions either. i do hope to finish it today (big yarn + big needles + fast knitter = GOOD), but first, could you all hook me up with any favorite, easy, simple mitten patterns you have?
