Jul. 30th, 2003 06:13 pmI've been using a sewing machine, and coming out with pretty good results! ^^ Mostly I'm working on legwarmers, but I've also included one of my first projects. (Click the cut for pics and details!)
Black Heart Armwarmers

I bought some legwarmers at Hot Topic for $10, but they are TOO tight... I was hoping for loose ones, but nope -_-; So I decided to make them into armwarmers at least, so they wouldn't we wasted. I added lace I got from Walmart for $0.97 a yard, and also a silky black heart to one of the sleeves. Around the heart I stiched a kind of dotted line border with white string.
(Total Cost of project $14)
Elegant Gothic Lolita Legwarmers

This fabric was only $2.00 for a yard and a half because it was a remnant. I made it very baggy because that's how I like them ^^ Since I was making them EGL, I added lace on the bottom (I may add some to the top...). On one of the legs, I added a white cross and stiched a kind of dotted line border with black string.
(Total Cost of project $5)
Medium Size Loose Socks (white)

THIS is what I've really been wanting to make ^^ I've seen them online for about $15 - $20 (not including S&H!). So I used the same kind of pattern as the above project, but I ended up making these less baggy than I originally planned. I like how they feel though, and they're cute, but I'm going to try to make a more baggy pair and sell these or give them away ^^;
(Total Cost of project $2)
