I checked the FAQ to try to answer this question, but I didn't really find anything.
Alright so my boyfriend and I decided to start a little business, screenprinting t-shirts for local bands. I've screen printed before, and he knows lotsa bands, so we figured this would work out. Anywho, we're working on t-shirts for his band first. I tried doing the photo emulsion method. I happen to have a darkroom in my house and so I just used that, and my photo enlarger to burn the screen. I burned it for the amount of time the instructions told me, but alas it did't work. For those of you who have done this, do you use a photo enlarger or a light with high wattage? I ended up just tracing the band logo on the screen and using screen filler to block off the stuff I didn't want, and it's worked great, but it was really time consuming. Now I have another question, what is the best way to get screen filler off a silkscreen? (I'm using that red goopy poopy Speedball stuff). It said to use Mr. Clean on the bottle (of screen filler), but it did't work, and I don't want to scrub at it too hard because I'll end up ripping the screen or something. I was thinking maybe bleach... but maybe that won't be save to use on silk. BAH! I'm frustrated. Someone help me.
