Hair Sticks!

I've really gotten into making hair sticks recently for my longish (blonde) hair. I take porcupine quills and wrap wire around the sharper end, then stick a fat bead on over the quill and wire and cut off the little bit of the quill that's sticking out beyond the bead. I take the wire that's sticking out and fashion it into a loop, stick the end back into the bead, and epoxy the whole thing so it stays like that. From the loop now sticking out of the bead, I hang a couple of strings of beads or I stick some beads on short wires ('cause they get caught in the hair less often if the wire is stiff). I suppose I could just leave it with the bead and not hang anything from there, too.

The result is a pretty classy-looking hair stick made out of all sorts of neat things, and it looks all naturistic and stuff. :) I've made a couple for friends, too. I wish I could scan in a picture, but I don't have anyplace to host it if I could, so I guess it's 6 of one or a half dozen of the other.
