Aug. 26th, 2003 03:22 pmhi all,
know it's been a while since i posted here (guilty-face), but just wanted to do a quick update for everyone who expressed interest about the local DIY group i was talking about starting up a few months ago.
the which, by the way, a HUGEBIG thank you to everyone who posted suggestions and comments. muchly appreciated!
anyway, the denvergoff DIY group has been up and running for about two months now and we have a rotating membership of about 30 regular attendees, and the mailing list has just a little more than that. i know some people had expressed interest in participating or at least being on a group list, if i started one, remotely, so i thought i'd put it out there for everyone who might want to follow along even if you don't have the great good luck to live in Colorado:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/denvercraftygoffs/
i'm going to move the group and list to its own domain eventually, but yahoo will do for now. :} we sew, paint, sculpt, make chainmail, do beading, make jewelry, do papercrafts and bookbinding, restore antique clothing, make curtains, recycle lampshades, crochet, modify bikes, make and restore furniture, wrangle fake hair, putter about with millinery, do leatherwork, tat, make bath products and candles, and just about everything and anything else you can think of.
please feel free to join up!
thanks again to everyone. ;)
