spray paint t-shirts

howdy!

i checked the faq, so don't shoot me if this is there somewhere.

my college paper editorial board is going to make t-shirts to wear at the activities fair when we recruit new people for the staff. we're going to stencil t-shirts, and we were thinking about using spray paint.

my question is, will spray paint fade excessively upon washing? i want something very permanent, but i really like the spray paint look.

also, if i use spray paint, what material should i use to make the stencils?
