Sep. 1st, 2003 01:33 pmI searched the memories for this, but couldn't find it. For my friend's birthday in a few weeks, I want to get her a huge mug or thermos (72 ounces, I believe) and decorate it with paint. I'm doing this as a kind of a joke gift that's also practical, since she always drinks a ton of Diet Coke.
I have a few questions about this. If the mug has paint on it to begin with, is there a way that I could strip it without damaging the mug? Also, what sort of paint should I use that would be dishwasher safe, and should I put a layer of acrylic finish on it when I'm done for protection?
Thanks in advance.
