new girl

hey people, i'm karine. i'm new. i'm a crafty girl at heart, but most of the time.. i get lazy. anyhoo, i thought i'd share my latest creation with you guys..

...about 3 or 4 years ago (during high school) i bought this turquoise corduroy semi-long skirt. it went passed my knees and i loved it. then, after not wearing it for a while, i decided to take it out of my closet, but i had lost weight and it made me look frumpy.. so i made it shorter (few inches about the knee).. and now this summer, it didn't fit anymore.. made me sad, because it was such a nice skirt/colour/material...

anyway, the point is.. i got bored and decided to make a handbag with part of the skirt! the flower on there is because.. well, i have flowers that i put in my hair, and i thought the yellow one would look pretty on there...


the pocket is centered, but it doesn't look like it on the picture...

i also put in a liner.. made from a shirt that was just a lighter shade of the same colour =) so, what do you think... decent? shitty? stupid? lemme know.
