Jul. 10th, 2002 11:48 amI work at an organization affiliated with a small craft museum. It's an ideal job in some ways because I have easy access to a craft library whenever I want to look up a new technique. Since I have worked here, I have learned how to knit and make paper.
If any of you are from the central Ohio area, you should come to Craftview nights. It's an hour and a half long after-work class the museum holds every month. This August first, they are doing a class on making a mosaic coaster. I've wanted to learn about this for a little while, so I'll definitely be there. (I wonder if I get a discount. Hell, it's only like, $10 bucks for admission and supplies.) Drop me a post if you're interested.
If you don't live near me, it's still worth it to look into area craft organizations to see what workshops they offer. Even small retail shops do it from time to time.
Anyway, just thought I'd introduce myself. I've been lurking for a little while.
