Pirate Skirt!

craftgrrlPirates seem to be the theme this month so i thought i share a skirt i sewed last week!
I just measured my waist, divided it into 4, add 5 or so inches.
Cut it out of a piece of cloth folded in quaters, cut an "A" shape out with the top part the length measured above.
You should have two pieces shaped like \_/
Sew up the sides and add the elastic waist band.
Then add the ruffles [that took forever] and the ribbon ties in the back are sewn into the seams.
Did that even make sense? Ok i'm not very good at instructions, but i'll answer any question anyone has.
